About

Our Mission

Wilderness Within seeks to restore the bonds of connection that exist between our culture, our ecosystems and our ancestral heritage through creating connections and experiences that meaningfully place us back into our roles as custodians of our environments.

Raui Searle, Co-founder

Raui has got a big vision and has dedicated himself to it – to come into right relationship with the our Earth and her wild places and be an agent of cultural repair, helping to “re-member” and reawaken our ancestral ways of being. He is a wild trickster with a burning passion to deepen his own connection to wild places and embody the transformations they hold.

Raui took his passion for nature connection, bush craft and transformational processes and studied with Nature Philosophy over two years, to learn how to facilitate truly transformational, deep nature connection experiences and is a graduate of their Teacher Trainer program. Raui has mentored at at number of Bluegum Bushcraft’s ‘Rewild Your Child’ family camps, and is currently a lead mentor at Nature Philosophy’s ‘Wild Village’ family camps.

Raui has a diverse background, including Chinese Medicine, Permaculture Electrical Engineering, and the list goes on… When he’s not squirreled away in some bushes, covered head-to-toe in mud, following the tracks of a dingo, he is playing music and being a loving Dad.

Eloise Victoria, Co-founder

Eloise is a deeply devoted lover and protector of wild nature – that which dwells around us, but also and just as importantly, our wild nature within.

Eloise began her nature-connection mentoring journey in 2016, as a volunteer co-facilitator at Bluegum Bushcraft’s ‘Rewild Your Child’ family camps.

From here, Eloise was able to take her new skills back home to family, and pour herself into her role as passionate auntie; taking her little niece and nephew out on frequent bush adventures and creek-walks.

These days, Eloise is a new Mama herself, and along with baby son Baran, has become a dedicated member of Nature Philosophy’s ‘Wild Village’ family camps, where she is thrilled to be walking this journey of de-conditioning, remembering and re-wilding together as community.
